OZ Optics Highly Polarized Multi-Channel Sources For MPO/MTP® PM Fiber Patchcords And V-Groove Arrays

OZ Optics Limited, a world leading supplier of fiber optic products for existing and next-generation optical networks, is introducing its new line of multi-channel polarization maintaining sources for characterizing the polarization properties of  polarization maintaining fiber (PM) devices terminated with MPO/MTP^®connectors, MT ferrules as well as fiber optic V-groove arrays.

These sources provide polarized light through industry standard MPO/MTP^®  connectors with polarization extinction ratios exceeding 30dB , to serve as a reference polarization state for characterizing the performance of mating devices, both for insertion losses and polarization performance.  Individual channels can be activated and deactivated automatically via a Windows based control interface.  When used with our automated Polarization Extinction Ratio (PER) Meter, one can easily and rapidly test multi-fiber cable assemblies and V-groove arrays.  Sources with 12, 16, or 24 channels are available as standard instruments, with a variety of output connector options..
