OZ Optics Miniature Fiber Polarizers

Ottawa, ON – Sept 3, 2026 - OZ Optics Limited, a world leading supplier of fiber optic products for existing and next-generation optical networks, now offers a new line of fiber polarizers in a new smaller package size. The new polarizers are only three millimeters in diameter and twenty millimeters long, taking only one-eighth the volume of conventional fiber polarizers.  This makes these devices ideal for high density applications where space is a premium.

Polarizers can be made using standard singlemode and polarization maintaining fibers, or alternatively with bend insensitive or reduced cladding fibers, to give you the most compact device specific for your applications.  Different fibers can be used on the input and output ends, for maximum flexibility.  The polarizers feature over 30 dB polarization extinction ratios, better than -60 dB return losses, and insertion losses below 0.7 dB. The polarizers can be optimized for a variety of wavelengths including telecom wavelengths around 1550nm but also custom wavelengths from 600 nm to 2000 nm.
