Benchtop unit is for injecting a programmable level of noise into an optical signal, creating a precisely defined signal-to-noise ratio. Useable with wavelengths from 1529 to 1561.5 nm (C-Band). Compatible with 9/125 micron core/cladding fiber, with angled FC/APC connectors. Touch screen interface for stand-alone operation. GPIB and Ethernet interfaces for computer control. Unit comes with built-in WSS (Wavelength Selectable Switch) as a tunable filter over C-band.
